The Paddling Film Festival is an international adventure film tour presenting the world's best paddling films of the year. The audience will see hairy whitewater action, sea kayakers exploring remote coastlines, northern river canoe expeditions, international river travel films, motivating environmental documentaries, gruelling kayak fishing battles, and hilarious short films capturing the lighter side of paddling life.

Join us for an inspiring, fun, and social evening with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts for The Paddling Film Festival’s first-ever stop in Saskatoon.  All proceeds will be donated to Outdoor School Saskatoon. Tickets are $12 and are available here.

Dock Removal - Mon. Oct. 21st 1:30 p.m.

Our fellow boathouse tenant the Saskatoon Rowing Club is planning to remove the dock for the winter at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21st.  A few volunteers to help with this task would be appreciated. Email canoe@saskatooncanoeclub.org if you would like to help so that we can keep you apprised of any changes in the plan due to weather, etc.

Fall Paddling Reminders

The water supply in our boathouse bay has been shut off for the winter, so please fetch buckets of water from the river to wash your boat.  Recreation Division members may continue paddling after the dock has been removed until there is ice on the water.  Experienced Marathon Division members may paddle marathon boats year round. Please be extra cautious when launching/landing from the rocks on shore to avoid damaging equipment or hurting yourself.  With the colder air and water it is especially important to WEAR your PFD.
