Greetings paddlers!

We hope you’ve taken advantage of all this great weather and enjoyed lots of time out on the water. The fun isn’t done yet; we still have our Rec & Rookie Race (aka all paddlers welcome!) happening this Saturday. Even if you don’t want to enter, come down and cheer on the racers. Next month we will be hosting our annual fall potluck, where we share stories from some great trips that paddlers went on this year. Finally, look for more info on our AGM, happening at the beginning of November.

Group paddles and new registrations are done for this year but that does not mean the season is over. Recreation boats may be used until there is ice on the water. Marathon boats can be used all year.
Rec and rookie race - this Saturday, 10:15am
This Saturday (Sept 16) we will be hosting the Rec & Rookie Race at the Victoria Boathouse. All paddlers are welcome, no matter your experience. It will be a series of races including a flag relay, portage race, sprint, and mini marathon. Prizes and food afterwards. Teams will be selected on registration; no need to pre-select.

I hope to see some of you out racing! I am also looking for the following volunteers: safety boat (drive a motorboat and be available if assistance is needed; Pleasure Craft Operator's License preferential), timers, registration volunteers, and food set-out (after the races). If you are able to volunteer, please reply to this email, and thank you!
